School Sports Lead with Holiday Club Development

About the Role
Are you passionate about sports, education, and innovation? We are seeking a dynamic,
focused individual to join our team as our new School Sports Lead with Holiday Club
Development.
This dual role requires exceptional leadership skills to ensure our team delivers high-quality PE, sports, and lots of innovative activities in schools whilst managing staff daily.
Additionally, you will spearhead the development and management of our Holiday
Clubs, ensuring they run smoothly and meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. School Sports and activities lead
o Leadership and Management
Oversee daily operations of the school sports programmes.
Oversee daily operations for evening activities such as football and
our extended day provision
Develop Policies and Procedures
Manage staff rotas, lesson observations, and appraisals.
Onboard and train new staff members.
Conduct recruitment activities to attract new staff and customers.
Ensure high standards in PE and sports activities across schools.
Manage all our extra activities that go into schools
Manage
Teach PE and sports for 25% of your timetable.
2. Holiday Club Development
o Programme Preparation and Execution
Plan and prepare for holiday camps ensuring they meet our
standards.
Be part of the team during camps to ensure day-to-day operations
run effectively.
o Marketing and Social Media
Develop and implement marketing strategies for holiday clubs.
Manage social media accounts and create engaging content.
Use CRM systems to manage customer relationships and
communications.
Update basic website content as needed.
3. Innovation and Technology
o Stay updated with the latest in sports education and childcare and
incorporate innovative practices.
o Use of technology to enhance programme delivery and management.
Ideal Candidate Specification
• Qualified PE teacher or coach with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Proficient in staff management, including rotas, observations, and appraisals.
• Experienced in recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Keen interest in innovation and technology in education.
• Social media and marketing savvy.
• Familiar with CRM systems and basic website management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about sports and committed to high standards of delivery.
• A positive approach to problem solving is highly important.
• This role requires an enjoyment of logistics, computer skills and working with
young adults and children !
Conditions of Work
• Permanent role.
• Based at our York Office.
• Significant domestic travel, particularly during holiday camps.
• Standard hours: 37.5 hours Mon-Fri between 8 am – 6:30 pm with flexibility
required during camp periods.
• Weeks can be split times to suit the needs of the company and also the successful
candidate. Examples 8-4:30. Or 12:30 – 7:30pm.
• Work 6 weekends per year.
• Full, valid driving license required.
• Annual performance review.
