What we look for with our Primary PE Teaching staff!!

Our Primary PE coaches work in schools every single day of school term, delivering outstanding PE sessions and school clubs! With our staff we require set skills and experiences to ensure they’re able to take control of classes of children, deliver brilliant lessons and ensure progress!

Check below what skills we require from our team:

  • A Sports coaching qualification such as; A sports related degree, a minimum of a BTEC Level 3 in sports coaching.
  • Sports coaching course certification; a minimum of a level 2 in any sport.
  • Classroom or school experience; A minimum of 1 year in a school setting – this could be delivering school clubs, supply work, placement work or any other experience which has required you to lead a group of at least 20 children for long periods of time.
  • Excellent knowledge of the PE curriculum.
  • Experience in planning progressive PE sessions.
  • Experience of delivering PE inside primary school halls and outside on playgrounds and fields.
  • Excellent communication style which can be tailored to the age group and setting.
  • Strong routines with children.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Access to own vehicle and can drive.
  • Enhanced DBS or able to achieve one.
